Training Practice
The Practice is accredited by NES (NHS Education for Scotland) (click here) to train Doctors in the GP stage of their training. These GP Trainees are fully qualified Doctors and we offer appointments with them in the normal way. Our trainees may request from time to time to video your consultation with them, this gives them a valuable training resource that they can review together with their trainer GP to pick up on things they have done well or that could be improved upon. You may be asked for consent to video your consultation for these purposes prior to the start of your consultation and should you not wish for your consultation to be recorded we will ensure the equipment is turned off before your appointment. If you have any questions or would like more information on this, please do not hesitate to ask the Receptionist when booking your appointment, or ask to speak to the Practice Manager.
Teaching Practice
We also take part in the teaching programme of The Medical School University of Glasgow and you may sometimes meet medical students when you come to see your Doctor. If for any reason you would prefer students not to be present during your consultation, please let your Doctor know.
As Trainee Doctors, students will treat any information about you in strict confidence.
We appreciate your willingness to help with the important task of training Doctors for the future.
